TIPS TO SUSPEND THE LIFE OF FOODS AND FRUITS
Vegetable is a kind of food that
does not last long and is quickly damaged. To preserve the freshness of
vegetables some of the ways and tips I give you to keep the freshness of the
vegetables to last long. Some fruits and vegetables produce a gas called
ethylene when they cook. This gas can be eaten thoroughly for foods that are
sensitive to it, thus storing foods that produce ethylene from
ethylene-sensitive foods. For example, bananas, kiwis, mangoes, nectar, pears,
plums and tomatoes should be kept in different places from apples, broccoli,
leafy vegetables and watermelons.
1. Soak vegetables with water
mixed with vinegar for a few minutes. Store and save. Vinegar will restore the
freshness of vegetables and remove dirt on the vegetables as well.
2. Dry the vegetables using the
kitchen towel to dry and wrap them in newspapers. Put it in the refrigerator
3. Put a little salt on the
vegetables to last longer
4. Do not remove or cut into
vegetable roots
5. Store potatoes, onions, and
tomatoes in a cool, dry place, but not in the refrigerator.
6. Store fresh vegetables and
herbs in bags packed with little air and sealed tight.
7. Orange fruits such as lime,
lime, lemon will be well done until one week in a cool and dark place, away
from sunlight, but you can extend the life span of these fruits and vegetables
by storing them in the refrigerator Laying in a perforated container.
8. Other vegetables such as
carrots, salads, and broccoli are quickly damaged as soon as this is available,
place it immediately in a separate plastic bag and place it in your
refrigerator (make sure it is dry due to moisture accelerating the bacterial
breeding that causes the vegetables to break short) .
9. Cut your pineapple head and
place your pineapple in reverse. This helps re-distribute sugar that sinks down
during shipment and also helps it store longer.
10. If you want to wash and cut
your fruits and vegetables then, keep them in a glass container lined in paper
towels. It will keep the moisture down.
